A bit about Duncan Purvis: Duncan grew up in Rockford, Michigan, just north of Grand Rapids, and now resides there with his wife Christina, a high school teacher at Rockford High School. He joined New York Life after graduating with honors and a double-major from Western Michigan University in December of 2005. Duncan's career quickly blossomed and he led the Michigan General Office in life insurance cases in 2008. Duncan is a member of the Grand Rapids and Rockford Chambers of Commerce, Grand Rapids Young Professionals, and NAIFA. He is also involved with the YMCA's 'Healthy U' program which strives to teach children about the benefits of nutritional eating and exercise and tutors students at a local elementary school through United Way's 'Schools of Hope' program. In his free time Duncan enjoys being active within his local community, in large part by coaching, refereeing, and playing soccer and sponsoring several local sports teams.
